First of all I think to apologize to you all of you is necessary. As I have never been a real “computer”- person, I neglected my website dreadfully in the past…..
With my daily posts on Facebook and Twitter, I started to think that everybody must be knowing what’s going on through these media tools. But I think a website is still in order to get some extra information on me, for those that want to know more than the brief posts the social networks have to offer!
So as a new season has started, I found it’s time to update my website and do a good job with keeping everybody posted here as well.
All my life I have been a person of long term commitments, yes, never had short relationship, not in coorporate life and not privately, would always keep it going for many years. So the same in the past with my work, my sports, my coach and the same with my sponsors and partners on this path that I have been following as a triathlete.
So it doesn’t come as a surprise that also this year, you will see me guided and supported by the same sponsors and partners that, most of them, have been with me for many years. Special thanks also to Tommy Vonach, my manager and supervising training-partner, who has been supporting me permanently, sometimes when things were very difficult for me as an athlete in the last 5 years. We have achieved a lot and he was not shy too often stand back of his personal dreams as an athlete to support mine.
I was fortunate to have sponsors and partners that did the same and I will never forget were I started and were I am today. Thank you to you all!
I am very trilled to announce the new collaboration with Cervélo, the bike I have been riding for the past 5 years. Cervélo will now not only be present through my machine on two wheels (for the past two years, her name was Honu III) but also on my race and training-gear.
Cervélo has done an outstanding job and I am excited about the soon birth of Honu IV which will be the new and impressing P5 - which will be indeed "simply. faster."
I am very fortunate to be with Biestmilch since 2009. Susann and her team has done so much for me that I would just fill my entire website to tell you about that!
Their products, all made of colostrum, the first milk of the cow for the baby-calf, are probably the most powerful food in the world and benefits not just the competitive athlete, but every person whose immune system is stressed by daily life, activities and pressure.
Our "Biest of Best"-Team has a line-up that some would not even dare to dream about with Chris "Macca" McCormack, Terenzo Bozzone, Ronnie Schildknecht, Sebastian Kienle and new member Andi Böcherer on the boy´s side, also new on the girls side is Rachel Joyce. Rachel and me will be out there kicking some booties this year. We have a great group of athletes in the "Biest of friends"- group with Nicole Leder, Edith Niederfriniger, Wenke Kujala and Daniel Schmoll. Newly added British Team & high end amateur´s "Team Freespeed" will bring some exciting folks to this group as well.
We are really happy to announce that the Iberostar Cozumel will be my new headsponsor.
I have been staying at the Iberostar Cozumel in the last three years for the Ironman on Cozumel. They have been outstanding, the service and food is fantastic and and it´s a place I always look forward to return to. For me there is no better place to prepare for this race.
So if you are planning to race Ironman or Ironman 70.3 Cozumel you better make sure to get your room reserved there as soon as possible.
Veltec supported me from the moment I started my long-distance triathlon career. They have been fantastic and always tried to support me whereever I just was on the globe with their products.
And of course I like to mention everbody else that are for me the greates partners and sponsors with the best products on earth:
O-MOTION compression and sport, CHIN MIN, RUDY PROJECT, SKINFIT, XTERRA WETSUITS, ZIPP, XENDURANCE, GU ENERGY, MIZUNO and ZOGGS.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT! You were and will all be part of every success!
It’s so important to have the best support if you want to get the best out of yourself. In every way I’m a blessed person with all the great partners and sponsors that I have, you will find them all on this website and most of them have been with me for many years.
I strongly believe that my best years are still to come, so I’m aiming to have them with me for some more great years and accomplishments through the next seasons.
The first race of this new season 2012 already lies behind me. After only 3 weeks of training and after my 4 weeks winter break, I couldn’t expect to much, but got the answers which I needed to get started on my build up for this year. I had some great break through’s in this particular race, so all though the outcome, position wise, maybe wasn’t that, what I wanted, mentally I had some great victories for myself. At the end of the day, the only thing that counts and if you have given it your best that your satisfied with the outcome and maybe even learned something to take with you on your further journey……!
As I have been training on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii for the last 2 months, I now feel ready to race, I have done my homework and think I’m getting ready for a great season! I’m very excited and can hardly wait until my next race, another week I will have to wait for that…..
I’m very looking forward to race at the IM 70.3 Galveston on April 1st.
My preparations here in Kona have been going very well, but how could it be otherwise, swimming with the dolphins every other day, is and will always stay something special.
Again this morning we had our friends swimming along, every single time we bump in to these beautiful creatures, it’s a special treat & blessing. Yes indeed, I do appreciate my life as a Professional Triathlete and know very well how lucky I am, that I can live the life I’m living, through my given talents.
I have some more exciting news coming up soon, but let me just do this race on April 1st to begin with and then I will come back with some news to you all.
In Galveston I’m very looking forward to catch up with part of the Biestmilch family, more about the awesome activities that we´re going to do with them in Europe later on as well.
I will also tell you also more about the next three upcoming races after this 70.3 Texas race and also about some big steps that I took on a new path.....!
For now a big hug & thank you for visiting my website, maybe see you at a race in the very near future, or just somewhere along the way….
Be happy, feel free & make somebody smile every single day :-) !!!!!
